Preparing A-Pillar (Cabriolet) For Installation

Fit A-pillar (Cabriolet).
1. 1.1 Cut the A-pillar (Cabriolet) at the transition point to the body leaving an overlap of 30 mm.
2. 1.2 Fit A-pillar (Cabriolet) and secure it to the body.

3. 1.3 Make cut through the A-pillar (Cabriolet) and body in the overlap area.
Cut sheet metal inserts used as a welding backii g strip for the weld area from the old A-pillar (Cabriolet).
Remove A-pillar (Cabriolet).
Prepare marked areas -A- for bonding and resistance spot-welding.
