Preliminary Work

  1. Remove the engine.

    > DISASSEMBLING ENGINE

  2. Remove transmission.

    > 343527 REMOVING AND MOUNTING TRANSMISSION

  3. Secure engine to assembly support.

    > 1001IN TOOLS FOR REMOVING/INSTALLING UNITS AND WORKING ON ASSEMBLY SUPPORT

  4. Remove intake-air distributor.

    > 244619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE-AIR DISTRIBUTOR

  5. Remove exhaust manifold.

    > 261019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EXHAUST MANIFOLD

  6. Remove camshafts.

    > 150520 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CAMSHAFTS (INCLUDES SETTING TIMING) 

  7. Remove engine section of supply line.

    > 203819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SUPPLY LINE

  8. Only for cylinder bank 1: 

    Remove generator.

    > 272219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GENERATOR
