Removing Rear Wheel Bearing Housing

1. Loosen clamped connection between the spring strut and wheel bearing housing. Pull spring strut out of the wheel bearing housing.

1. 1.1 Screw off collar nut -5-  and pull out connecting link (suspension/stabilizer) -3-  .

   Counter at the hexagon wrench face of the connecting link -arrow-  when loosening the collar nut.

2. 1.2 Unscrew collar nut -6-  , pull out clamping screw -2-  and pull spring strut -1-  out of the wheel carrier -4-  .

The following work will only be necessary if the wheel bearing or the wheel bearing housing is to be replaced:

Remove parking brake shoes.

Remove parking brake spreader device (actuator).

> 468519 Removing and installing spreader device (actuator) - section on  "REMOVING "

Unscrew screws -1-  on cover plate on the wheel bearing housing and remove cover plate.
