Removing Spreader Device (Actuator)

Information 

The spreader device (actuator) is fitted on the rear-axle wheel bearing housing. It is the servo motor for the electric parking brake (EPB) and spreads the parking-brake shoes when actuated.

Actuator

1. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  on the actuator -1-  .
2. Unclip electric wire harness -4-  from the retaining clip -3-  .

3. Unscrew screws -Arrows-  for actuator.

4. Unscrew screws for rear brake cover plate.
5. Remove actuator.
   1. 5.1 Turn the brake cover plate so that the actuator can be removed.
   2. 5.2 Remove actuator -Arrow-  .
