Subsequent Work

  1. Fit wheel.

    > 440519 Removing and installing wheel - section on  "INSTALLING ".

  2. If the central tension bolt was removed (in order to replace the wheel bearing, wheel hub or wheel bearing housing), tighten new lock nut (M22 x 1.5). When tightening, get another mechanic to help by operating the brake.

    > Tightening torque 460 N.m 

  3. Fit cover over spring strut mount (move out of service position).
  4. Check wheel alignment values on the front axle and make adjustments if necessary.

    > 449503 SUSPENSION Alignment, COMPLETE .

    > the appropriate Adjustment values for suspension alignment service information.
