Assembling Convertible Top Frame

Information 

The convertible top frame is assembled on the vehicle.

1. Screw bracket for mount onto B-pillar for convertible top frame. > Tightening torque 9 N.m (6.5 ft lb.) +/- 1 N.m (0.5 ft lb.) 
2. Install B-pillar for convertible top frame.
   1. 2.1 Fit B-pillar for convertible top frame -2-  in the vehicle.
   2. 2.2 Screw on fastening screw -1-  for rear convertible top support.

3. Install roll-over bar.

   > INSTALLING ROLL-OVER BAR - section on "Installing"

4. Secure front convertible top support.
   1. 4.1 Screw on fastening screws for front convertible top support -1-  .

   Further assembly of the convertible top frame is performed in reverse order to disassembly.

5. Tighten fastening screws to the specified tightening torque.
   1. 5.1 Fastening screw for rear convertible top support. > Tightening torque 46 N.m (34 ft lb.) 
   2. 5.2 Fastening screws for front convertible top support. > Anziehdreh moment 46 N.m (34 ft lb.) 
   3. 5.3 Fastening screws for inner roof frame at the sides. > Tightening torque 9 N.m (6.5 ft lb.) +/- 1 N.m (0.5 ft lb.) 
   4. 5.4 Fastening screws for rear roof frame. > Tightening torque 9 N.m (6.5 ft lb.) +/- 1 N.m (0.5 ft lb.) 
   5. 5.5 Fastening screw for rear lid support bearing. > Tightening torque 9 N.m (6.5 ft lb.) +/- 1 N.m (0.5 ft lb.)
