Removing Bottom Joint

   • The upper section -2-  is fitted on the universal joint of the steering column -2-  .
   • The lower section zh. is fitted on the universal joint of the power-steering gear. 

1. Remove bottom joint (upper section).

   Loosening bottom joint from steering column

   1. 1.1  Loosen clamping screw -1-  from the bottom joint -2-  . on the steering column -3- 
   2. 1.2  Slide the bottom joint -2-  down off the steering column -2-  (-arrow-  ).
2. Remove bottom joint (lower section).
   1. 2.1  Remove front left wheel

      > 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL

   2. 2.2  Unclip and remove control arm spoiler (air guide for brake cooling) at the back of the diagonal arm.

   3. 2.3  Disconnect universal joint from the steering gear.

   4. 2  .4 Carefully remove bottom joint (lower section) from the wheel housing
