Installing Bottom Joint

Securing intermediate steering shaft

1. 1.1  Push the bottom joint -2-  . as far as it will go onto the steering column -3-  (-arrow-  ).
2. 1.2  Tighten clamping screw -1-  > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 90° 

1. 2.1  Position bottom joint (lower section) in installation position.
2. 2.2  Fit universal joint on the steering gear. > Initial tightening 20 Nm (15 ftlb.)  . > Final tightening + 90

3. 2.3  Fit control arm spoiler [air guide for brake cooling) at the back of the diagonal arm.

4. 2.4  Fit front left  wheel
