Information
Secure the steering wheel with the wheels in straight-ahead position or remove the steering wheel with the wheels in straight-ahead position. If this is not done, the airbag contact unit will have to be moved to center position after installation of the steering gear.
- Position and block the steering wheel and steering column at center position.
- Raise the vehicle
- Remove front wheels

- Remove front underbody cover

- Remove center part of center underbody cover
> WM, 519319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR CENTRE UNDERBODY
- Remove front-axle support
