Information
- Use structural foam within the processing time .
- Do not apply pressure on foam-filled parts until hardening is complete .
Information
Adhesive cartridges must only be used with piston-driven applicator guns.
- Prepare bonding gun Hand-cartridge gun WE 1141 or Pneumatic gun, 18 bar WE 1672 or Pneumatic cartridge gun WE 1710 .
- Press out adhesive without the mixing tube until both components emerge from the cartridge.
- Fit mixing tube on the cartridge and check that adhesive comes out.
- 3.1. Make sure that the two-component adhesive is mixed evenly in the mixing tube.
- 3.2. Before applying adhesive to the joints, apply a 10 cm long bead of adhesive to a paper towel or similar item and dispose of it later.
- 3.3. Also apply a 10 cm long bead of adhesive to a paper towel or similar item as a test.
- Apply adhesive.
- Join components.
- 5.1. Join parts, secure them and weld, rivet and screw them within the processing time.
The joining process must take place immediately after applying adhesive in order to guarantee high quality and reliable bonding.
Otherwise, the adhesive bead must be removed and the bonding surface must be prepared again before re-applying adhesive.
When adhesive oozes out along the entire length of the joint on both sides, enough adhesive has been applied.
- 5.1. Join parts, secure them and weld, rivet and screw them within the processing time.
- Remove any excess adhesive.
- 6.1. Remove most of the excess adhesive with a clean cloth.
- 6.2. Give visible surfaces a final clean with a cloth soaked in acetone.
Hardened material can only be removed by mechanical means.
