Repair procedure for threaded bush without collar

- Remove wire thread inserts (Helicoil) that are installed as standard before drilling out .

- Loosen wire threaded insert (Helicoil) -1-
using a suitable screwdriver.
- Pull out wire threaded insert (Helicoil) -1-

- Drill out thread.
- Cut thread.
- 4.1. Cut thread up to dimension -Y- using a cutting tool.
- 4.2. Clean the thread.
- 4.2.1. Blow drill chips out of the thread with compressed air.
- 4.2.2. Clean thread with brake cleaner.
- 4.2.3. Dry thread by blowing it with compressed air.
- Position threaded bush on screw-in tool.
- Screw in threaded bush.
- Unscrew and remove screw-in tool -E-
from the threaded bush -A-

Information
Heat threaded insert for a short time using a hot-air blower, Leister-Electron hot-air blower/V.A.G. 1416 WE 1119. → Time: 2 min → Temperature: 80°C Alternatively, do not screw or unscrew threaded joints at the repaired thread for approx. 3-4 hours.
- Heating or the specified waiting time is necessary in order to ensure that the threaded insert will not turn when you screw in the screw .
- Heat the thread.
