Preparing for stud welding: Notes

Information
The following description is intended only as a guide. A description of the steps involved and the various areas of application can be found in the operating instructions provided with the respective device.
- Remove paint and oxide coating on clamping points for earth clamps.
- Attach earth clamps of welder Dent removal unit WE 1726
close to the rivet point using the highest possible clamping force. The welding point should be centered between the two earth clamps.
- Remove paint and oxide coating at the welding point.
- If necessary, connect inert gas and set the minimum flow rate according to the welding parameters in the table below.
Information
The support fixture to be used and the required gas pipe will vary depending on the type of bolt to be welded. See operating instructions provided with the device for details of the correct pairing.

- Set welding parameters on the stud welder in accordance with the table below.
