Information
Always read the information. → 453055 REPLACING HYDRAULIC UNIT/CONTROL UNIT
- If the hydraulic unit is replaced, the control unit of the hydraulic unit must be coded and calibrated .
- When replacing the hydraulic unit, there are a number of ways to code the hydraulic unit/control unit .
- Control unit replacement
- Automatic coding using coding rules
- Manual coding of hydraulic unit using coding rules from the >vehicle I-passport
Information
If the hydraulic unit is replaced, the PSM control unit must be coded using the Porsche System Tester. Hydraulic unit and PSM control unit form one unit.
- Control unit replacement

> Control unit replacement
If the control unit is faulty (electrical fault) and cannot be read out, continue with Step 2!
- Automatic coding of hydraulic unit
> Control unit overview
> PSM
> Codings/adaptations
> Automatic coding
If faults or discrepancies occur during automatic coding, carry out >Manual coding of hydraulic unit< (see Step 3 below).
- Manual coding of the hydraulic unit using coding rules from the >vehicle I-passport<
Get the vehicle data (coding rules) from the >vehicle I-passport<.
Carry out >Manual coding of hydraulic unit< using coding rules from the >vehicle I-passport<.
