Preliminary work for rear three-point belt at the left and right

  1. Disconnect the battery. → WM 2X00IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY
  2. Remove rear seat. → 724819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR SEAT
  3. Remove side trim panel for rear luggage compartment. → 700319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SIDE TRIM PANEL FOR REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT

    Step 4 must only be carried out for vehicles with the BOSE sound system: 

  4. To make it easier to reach the fastening screw for the seat-belt pretensioner, loosen the booster -1-  (-2-  ) on the left-hand side of the luggage compartment, support it and leave it hanging.

  5. Pull sound absorber at the left and right -3-  out of the wheel housing to the rear.
