Removing trim panel for rear lid

Information

To reduce the forces during removal and thereby the risk of damage, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

Release light -1- using a small screwdriver -a- and pull it out of the trim panel.

Release electric plug connection -1- (-a- ) and pull off the light -2- .

Open lid of storage box -1- for warning triangle and unscrew and remove fastening screws -2- .

Remove lid release switch. → 558219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR LID RELEASE SWITCH
Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1- for finger plate at the left and right.

Carefully loosen the clips -marking- on the lower part of the trim panel -1- at the marked areas using a suitable tool.

Remove trim panel.
