Installing Antenna For Auxiliary Heater: Notes

Information 

• When installing the wire harness, make sure the insulation of the line is not damaged. 

1. 1.1. Push wire harness along the left hinge into the passenger compartment and to the rear spoiler -arrows A-  .
2. 1.2. Pull wire harness out in a downward direction through the body and roof frame opening -arrow B-  . Push line from the outside if necessary.

Information 

• The number of antenna connectors can vary, depending on the vehicle equipment. 

1. 3.1. Push connectors for the antenna lines into the sockets of the same colour -arrows A-  until the connectors -arrow B-  engage securely.
2. 3.2. Press plug connections for the antenna lines into the brackets -arrows C-  until the locking lugs -arrows D-  engage securely.

1. 4.1. Insert lines into holder for socket -arrow A-  .

2. 4.2. Close holder -arrow B-  until the locking lug -arrow C-  engages securely.
3. 4.3. Press in holder for socket -arrow A-  until the locking lugs -arrows B-  engage securely.

4. 4.4. Secure the two ground straps together with the twist lock -a-  on the ground pin using the fastening nut -1-  . → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.) 

1. 6.1. Insert antenna lines into the two line brackets -arrows A- 
2. 6.2. Connect plug connection on the hose for the spray nozzle -arrows B-  and clip hose onto the roof frame -arrows C-  .

1. 7.1. Coat rubber sleeve with soap suds and press into the rear spoiler -arrow A-  .
2. 7.2. Position wire harness in rear spoiler and press it firmly onto the Velcro strip sections -arrows B-  .

1. 11.1. Route antenna for auxiliary heater -2-  and press it onto the Velcro strip section -3- (-arrow-)  .
2. 11.2. Secure lines to the rear spoiler with a new tie-wrap -1-  .

1. 13.1. Push the white line through under the antenna amplifier, position antenna amplifier -arrow A-  and tighten the fastening screw -4-  .
2. 13.2. Push the white connector onto the white connection on the right antenna amplifier -arrow B-  .
3. 13.3. Insert retaining bracket and secure the two ground straps with the fastening nut -3-  and fastening screw -2-  .
4. 13.4. Push connectors onto the sockets of the same colour on the right antenna amplifier -arrow C-  until the locking lugs engage securely.
5. 13.5. Secure the lines with a new tie-wrap -1-  and fix in place with new adhesive tape -arrow D-  .

1. 14.1. Insert wire harness for the left rear spoiler into the wiring duct and press on the cover -arrow A-  until the locking lugs -arrows B-  engage securely.
2. 14.2. Push wiring duct onto the left hinge -arrow C-  until the locking lugs -arrow D -  engage securely.
