Installing Instrument Cluster

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Porsche Cayenne, 2009 Porsche Cayenne, and 2008 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position instrument cluster, then push on connector -A-  and lock it -B-  until it engages securely.

  2. Fold back instrument cluster and position it in instrument panel.
  3. Place dashboard insert (cover for instrument cluster) -b-  in the installation position -arrow-  .

  4. Lift dashboard insert (cover for instrument cluster) slightly at the front -arrow A-  and insert the fastening screw -3-  but do not tighten it.

  5. Push dashboard insert (cover for instrument cluster) completely to the front -arrows B-  and tighten the fastening screw -3-  .
  6. Press dashboard insert (cover for instrument cluster) downwards and secure it with the fastening screws -1 and 2-  . → Tightening torque: 1.4 Nm (1.0 ftlb.) → Tightening torque: 1.4 Nm (1.0 ftlb.). 
  7. Insert trim panel and press it against the dashboard insert (cover for instrument cluster) at the top until the clips engage securely.

Install left dashboard cover. → Installing dashboard cover on the driver's side
