Removing Wire Harness For Tailgate At The Left

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche  .
• The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed  .
• Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts  .

The number of plug connections can vary, depending on equipment.

1. Wire harness for tailgate, left

1. Unscrew fastening screw -3-  and disconnect ground line -1-  .

2. Press rubber sleeve -4-  inwards -A-  and pull wire harness -1-  through towards the inside.

3. Press rubber sleeve -5-  inwards -B-  and pull wire harness -1-  through towards the inside.

4. Release water spray line using a screwdriver and pull it off. → REMOVING WIPER MOTOR FOR REAR WIPER SYSTEM - section on "Removing"
5. Release and disconnect electric plug connection for the wiper motor. → REMOVING WIPER MOTOR FOR REAR WIPER SYSTEM - section on "Removing"
6. Disconnect electric plug connection for rear window heating.
7. Release and disconnect electric plug connections for antenna amplifier control unit. → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR ANTENNA AMPLIFIER - section on "Removing"
8. Unclip fixing clips -6-  for wire harness for tailgate at the left.

9. Remove wire harness -1-  from the bracket next to the window -7-  (-C-  ).

10. Remove wire harness -1-  from bracket -8-  .

11. Remove rubber sleeve -9-  and pull wire harness -1-  through towards the tailgate -D-  .
12. Release connection point for water spray line -E-  and pull it off -F-  .

13. Release electric plug connections -a-  and disconnect them -G, H-  .

14. Unclip bracket for the connectors -I-  and remove it -J-  .

15. Unclip connectors from bracket -K-  and disconnect them -L-  .
