Loosening Main Wire Harness In Luggage Compartment At The Right

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche  .
• The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed  .
• Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts  .

1. Release and unplug electric plug connection -1-  for seat-belt pretensioner. → REMOVING REAR THREE-POINT BELT - section on "Removing"
2. Remove control unit for rear-end electronics. → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR REAR-END ELECTRONICS - section on "Removing"
3. Release and unplug electric plug connection -3-  for head airbag unit. → REMOVING HEAD AIRBAG UNIT - section on "Removing"
4. Release and unplug electric plug connection -4-  for levelling system control unit. → REMOVING LEVELLING SYSTEM CONTROL UNIT - section on "Removing"
5. Release and unplug electric plug connection -6-  for parking brake control unit. → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE - section on "Removing"
6. Release and unplug electric plug connection -7-  for tail light. → REMOVING TAIL LIGHT - section on "Removing"
7. Release and unplug electric plug connection -8-  for loudspeaker amplifier. → 914419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LOUDSPEAKER AMPLIFIER - section on "Removing"
8. Release and unplug electric plug connection -9-  for filler flap actuator. → REMOVING ACTUATOR FOR FILLER FLAP - section on "Removing"
9. Release and unplug electric plug connection -10-  for ground strap of tank filler neck. → REMOVING FUEL TANK - section on "Removing"
10. Unscrew fastening nut from ground point -11-  behind the wheel housing.
11. Release and unplug electric plug connection -12-  for trailer hitch control unit. → REMOVING TRAILER HITCH CONTROL UNIT - section on "Removing"
12. Release and unplug three electric plug connections -13-  for connection point on wheel housing.
13. Release and unplug two electric plug connections -14-  for connection point on tailgate. → 972719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WIRE HARNESS FOR TAILGATE  - section on "Removing"
14. Release and unplug electric plug connection -15-  for rear interior light.

15. Loosen fastenings -1-  on wheel housing.
16. Press rubber sleeve -2-  for line to tail light inwards.
17. Press rubber sleeve -3-  for ground strap of tank filler neck inwards.
18. Loosen fastening -4-  for ground strap of tank filler neck.
19. Loosen fastenings -5-  for line to rear lid wire harness.
