Subsequent Work

  1. Connect the battery. → INSTALLING BATTERY
  2. Fill in refrigerant for the air conditioning system again. → 870317 ADDING REFRIGERANT AND REMOVING BY SUCTION
  3. Install front wheels. → INSTALLING WHEEL
  4. Fill in coolant for high-temperature and low-temperature cooling system. → FILLING THE COOLING SYSTEM (INCLUDES BLEEDING)
  5. Observe warning notes. → 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
  6. Start the high-voltage electrical system and complete the relevant documentation. → 2X00IN ISOLATING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM POWER SUPPLY/STARTING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
  7. Bleed the clutch system. → 300107 BLEEDING THE CLUTCH SYSTEM
  8. Erase the fault memory. → WM 0335IN DIAGNOSTIC MAINTENANCE: RESETTING DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM AND SERVICE INTERVAL (CAYENNE, CAYENNE S, CAYENNE S E-HYBRID, CAYENNE TURBO, CAYENNE (3.0), CAYENNE GTS & CAYENNE TURBO S)
  9. After erasing the fault memory of the power electronics control unit, the phase angle and temperature model of the electric motor must be calibrated. Certain temperature ranges of the power electronics and electric motor must be observed in order to perform complete calibration.
    1. 9.1. The phase angle and temperature model are calibrated by actuating the brake and terminal 50 for approx. 2 seconds without starting the vehicle. No other conditions must be met for calibrating the phase angle.
    2. 9.2. Defined temperatures on the electric motor (< 60 °C) and a temperature difference between the electric motor and power electronics (< 20°C) must be observed in order to calibrate the temperature model. If these temperatures are not observed, the phase angle can be calibrated and the vehicle can be started but the temperature model will not be calibrated.
    3. 9.3. If the temperature conditions are met after stopping the vehicle in the case of a vehicle that has not been calibrated fully, the temperature model will be calibrated automatically the next time the vehicle is started (actuate the brake and terminal 50, start the vehicle). The first start attempt is perceived as a hung start or false start. The vehicle can then be started after a terminal change (ignition off/on).
  10. Observe applicable safety measures when carrying out a test drive.
