Installing V6 Hybrid Engine

Assembly work in engine compartment
- Risk of damage to lines
→ Route all the various lines (e.g. for fuel, hydraulics, coolant and refrigerant, brake fluid, etc.) and electric lines in such a way that the original line routing is restored.

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally (→ 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS ).
Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

- Tightening torques:
- 1.1. Engine: → 1001IN TIGHTENING TORQUES, TIGHTENING SEQUENCES, ASSEMBLY OVERVIEWS
- 1.2. Transmission: → 3X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUE, TIGHTENING SEQUENCE AND ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW
- 1.3. Chassis: → 4X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR FRONT AXLE
- 1.4. Brakes: → 4X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR BRAKE MECHANISM
- 1.5. Steering: → 4X00IN TIGHTENING TORQUES FOR STEERING
- Move ring gear and pinion shaft under the vehicle using the elevating platform.
- Reconnect all electric connections, lines, hoses and plug connections that were disconnected during removal.
- For hybrid vehicles, it is particularly important that the contact surfaces of the equipotential bonding lines (ground connection for hybrid module) are clean and free of grease.
- Install plenum panel cover.
- Install wiper arms at the left and right. → INSTALLING WIPER ARMS
- Connect air conditioning lines.
