Removing Radiator

Do not open the air conditioning system if at all possible when removing the radiator module  . Do not bend the lines.

Do not bend the lines when installing the radiator module  .

Information 

• The retaining clips should be mounted again immediately so that they are not confused  .

1. Remove coolant hose -1-  from the radiator by pulling out the safety clip on the coolant connection piece and pulling off the hose. Then fit the safety clip again so that it does not get mixed up.

2. Loosen the spring band clamp and pull off the breather hose -2-  at the top right of the radiator.

3. Loosen coolant line holder -arrow -  .

4. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  and press holder -2-  with connected ATF lines -3-  aside.

5. Remove refrigerant lines -A-  from the radiator.
   1. 5.1. Disconnect refrigerant lines on the radiator.

6. Unscrew fastening screw -5-  used to secure the line holder for the power-steering cooler. Pull the holder out and remove it.

7. Loosen clips -arrows -  over the radiator.

8. Release safety clip -1-  and remove coolant hose -2-  from the radiator.

9. Unscrew fastening screws -6 and 7-  . Only loosen fastening screw -8-  .
10. Remove both holders -arrows-  at the left and right of the radiator.

11. Turn the supports -arrows-  at the left and right sides and pull them out of the rubber sleeve.

12. Unclip power-steering cooler. To do this, unclip lines by pulling them forward out of the holder -1-  and then push them to the left out of the holder -2-  . Secure the cooler at a suitable position to prevent it from falling down.

13. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove lower air guide. → REMOVING CENTRE AIR GUIDE  - section on "Removing"

14. Unclip ATF cooler -5-  on the radiator bracket and secure with ATF lines connected at a suitable position to prevent it from falling down.

    Information 

    A second person is required for removing and installing the radiator.

15. Lift up the radiator and remove it carefully from the vehicle in an upward direction. Be careful of all connecting lines when doing this.
