Additional operation for all-wheel drive

The removal and installation of the engine/transmission unit is carried out in the same way as in the Carrera 2 description (Tiptronic and manual transmission) with the following additional operation. 

  1. Remove transmission support.

    NOTE:
    • Observe max. joint angle of 20° when removing and fitting. Furthermore, the cardan joint must not be loaded at max. deflection (stop).
    • When unscrewing and tightening the cardan shaft screw connection, a second person should counter with a suitable tool (e.g. long screwdriver)!

    • A second person is required to help when lifting out and installing the cardan shaft!
  2. Removing and installing cardan shaft Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING CARDAN SHAFT .

    During installation, the cardan shaft must be installed before mounting the transmission support.
