Removing the torque converter

  1. Remove engine-transmission unit. Refer to REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE AS FROM MY 02 (TIPTRONIC TRANSMISSION) and REMOVING AND REFITTING THE TRANSMISSION (MY 2002) .
  2. With transmission in horizontal position, remove the converter. Use two M8 x 120 screws for this purpose.
