Removing Power Window Motor

  1. If a new power window motor is to be installed, read out the values first. → Installing Power Window Motor 

    Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

    Information 

    On "newer" power window motors, the wire harness from the door wiring harness is clipped in on the power window motor.

    • Unclip wire harness at the clip, underneath the power window motor using a screwdriver. 

    A new connector concept is used on "newer" power window motors. Procedure:

    • Release (pull out) the red lock on the connector using a screwdriver. 
    • Release the locking lug underneath and pull the connector off the power window motor. 
  2. Unlock electric connector -a-  and disconnect from power window motor.

  3. Unscrew the three fastening screws -1-  .

  4. Pull the power window motor out of the teeth.
