Removing sealing rubber

  1. Heat the bonding area of the sealing rubber -1-  using the hot-air blower v.a.g 1416  .

  2. Insert a plastic wedge between the rear lid and sealing rubber -1-  and loosen the bonded joint.
  3. Remove adhesive residue on the rear lid using the film eraser Nr.174 Pos.1  and holder Nr.174 Pos.2  .
  4. Remove adhesive residue from the sealing rubber and clean with isopropanol.
