Removing Inner Side Section (Lower Part)

  1. Remove outer rear wheel housing. → 536855 REPLACING REAR WHEEL HOUSING  - section on "Removing"
  2. Remove center side member. → 514855 REPLACING CENTRE SIDE MEMBER - section on "Removing"
  3. Milling off spotwelds
    1. 3.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A, B, C, D-  using a spotweld cutter.

  4. Milling off spotwelds
    1. 4.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A, B, D, F-  using a spotweld cutter.
    2. 4.2. Mill off spotwelds in areas -C, E-  using a spotweld cutter (2 plate thicknesses).

  5. Loosening bonded joint
    1. 5.1. Bend up sheetmetal bracket -Arrow A-  .
    2. 5.2. Heat up bonded joint in area -B-  using a Leister Elektron Hot-Air Gun   .

  6. Milling off spotwelds
    1. 6.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A, C, E-  using a spotweld cutter.
    2. 6.2. Mill off spotwelds in areas -B-  and -D-  using a spotweld cutter (2 plate thicknesses).

  7. Milling off spotwelds

  9. Separating inert-gas welded seams
    1. 9.1. Separate inert-gas welded seams in area -A-  using a parting grinder.

  4. Milling off spotwelds
    1. 4.1. Mill off spotwelds in areas -A, B, D, F-  using a spotweld cutter.
    2. 4.2. Mill off spotwelds in areas -C, E-  using a spotweld cutter (2 plate thicknesses).
