Installing Wire Harness For Convertible Top: Notes

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2013 Porsche 911, 2012 Porsche 911, 2011 Porsche 911, 2010 Porsche 911, and 2009 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Install wire harness at the rear window.

1. 1.1. Fold the cover -1- in slightly -arrows A- .
2. 1.2. Push on both connectors -2- at the rear window -3- (-arrows B- ).
3. 1.3. Fit new tie-wrap -4- .
4. 1.4. Route the wire harness and secure it at the Velcro fastener -5- (-arrow C- ).
Information

Convertible top covering removed for a clearer view.
Install wire harness at the C-pillar and corner bow joint.

1. 2.1. Clip in wire harness -2- at the retaining clip -3- (-arrow- ).
2. 2.2. Fit new tie-wraps -1- .
Install wire harness on convertible top support.

1. 3.1. Position microswitch -5- on the convertible top support -arrow A- and secure with the fastening screws -4- . → Tightening torque: 3 Nm (2 ft. lb.)
2. 3.2. Clip in wire harness -2- at the retaining clip -3- (-arrow B- ).
3. 3.3. Fit new tie-wraps -1- .
Install splash guard.

1. 4.1. Insert the splash guard -1- into the clip -2- in the water drip pan -arrow- .
2. 4.2. Align the splash guard -2- so that the holes are flush with the roll-over protection trim panel -1- .

3. 4.3. Connect the splash guard -2- using the fixing clips -1- to the roll-over protection trim panel -1- (-arrow- ).
Press the convertible-top wire harness -1- into the clip -2- and connect the plug connection -arrows- until it locks with an audible click.
