Removing Rear Cross Member

  1. Remove side panel. → 535555 REPLACING SIDE PANEL - section on "Removing"
  2. Remove side member. → 514555 REPLACING SIDE MEMBER  - section on "Removing"
  3. Mill off spotwelds
    1. 3.1. Mill off spotwelds in area -A-  using a spotweld cutter.

  4. Mill off and separate welded joints
    1. 4.1. Mill off spotwelds in area -A-  using a spotweld cutter.
    2. 4.2. Separate inert-gas welded seams in areas -B-  and -C-  using a parting grinder.

  5. Separate inert-gas welded seam
    1. 5.1. Bend reinforcement plate in -direction of arrow-  .
    2. 5.2. Separate inert-gas welded seam in area -A-  using a parting grinder.
