Removing Electronic Adjuster - Cylinder Bank 1-3

→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Pull rubber cap -1-
off the cover of the electronic adjuster and release and pull off the cable plug.

Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
- Remove cover -1-
for electronic adjuster and intake air line.
- 2.1. Unscrew two external Torx screws (E10, M6 x 30) -2- for the intake air line and cover.
- Carefully lever off the ball joint -1- of the actuating rod on the turbocharger using a screwdriver.
- Unscrew three cheese head bolts (hexagon socket a/f 5, M6 x 30) -2-
on the electronic adjuster.
Tool recommendation: Long socket-wrench insert for hexagon socket (a/f 5) with ball joint.

Information
- Replace the actuating rod for the adjustment mechanism after removing the electronic adjuster.
- Remove electronic adjuster.
