Preliminary Work

  1. Raise the vehicle. → 4X00IN01 LIFTING THE VEHICLE
  2. Remove underbody panels. → 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR TRIM - removing
  3. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.
  4. Drain ATF. → 370255 REPLACING ATF 
  5. Unscrew and remove ATF pan.→ 37551900 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ATF PAN 
  6. Remove ATF filter. → WM 375855 REPLACING ATF FILTER (ALL MODELS 
  7. Unclip transmission wire harness (on vehicle side) at the transmission oil pan.
  8. Remove connector for transmission wire harness.→ 381819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONNECTOR (ON TRANSMISSION SIDE) FOR TRANSMISSION WIRE HARNESS
  9. Remove electrohydraulic control unit. → 38771903 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ELECTROHYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT
