Preliminary Work

Remove air cleaner housing.
→ 242519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR CLEANER HOUSING .
WARNING:
Risk of engine falling down.
- Danger of fatal injury, material damage.
→ Support the engine with the prescribed tool.
Lower the engine and support it.
1. 2.1. Position a jack on the engine using an engine retainer plate 9111/3 .
2. 2.2. Screw off two M12 collar nuts on the engine mountings.
3. 2.3. Slowly lower the engine by about 40 mm (measured at the engine carrier). The engine must not be lying on the cross member.
Remove tank vent.
1. 3.1. Open the line -2- at the plug-in coupling.
2. 3.2. Pull off cable plug and remove valve from the holder.

Disconnect breather hose -3- at the coolant reservoir.
1. 4.1. Open spring band clamp and pull off the hose.
2. 4.2. Seal the connection piece at the coolant reservoir.
Remove two control valves at the hose assembly holder.
1. 5.1. Pull off cable plug -1- .
2. 5.2. Unclip valves -2- .
