Remove Intake Manifold - (Cylinder Bank 4-6)

Information 

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

  1. Remove bracket -1-  for wire harness on intake-air distributor.
    1. 1.1. Unclip the wire harness.
    2. 1.2. Unscrew two M6 x 12 external Torx screws (E10) -2-  and remove bracket.

  2. Recommended tool for screw connections on intake manifold (designation Hazett): 
    1. Extension, 147 mm, 1/4 inch
    2. Extension, 101.5 mm, 1/4 inch
    3. Torx socket-wrench insert E10, 1/4 inch
    4. Pivoting extension, 25 mm, 1/4 inch
    5. Torx flexible-head socket-wrench insert E10

  3. Remove intake manifold -1-  .
    1. 3.1. Release and detach cable plug -2-  from high-pressure sensor.
    2. 3.2. Cut through tie-wraps -3-  for fastening wire harness to front intake-air distributor -Arrow-  .
    3. 3.3. Unscrew six M6 x 25 outer Torx screws (E10).
    4. 3.4. Detach vacuum line from vacuum unit and remove intake manifold.
    5. 3.5. Replace seals.

  4. Carefully clean the sealing faces.
    1. 4.1. Cover intake ports on the cylinder head.
