Remove Intake Manifold - (Cylinder Bank 1-3)

Information 

Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:

  1. Remove bracket -1-  for wire harness on intake-air distributor.
    1. 1.1. Unclip the wire harness.
    2. 1.2. Unscrew two M6 x 12 external Torx screws (E10) -2-  and remove bracket.

  2. Cut through tie-wraps -1-  for fastening wire harness to front of intake-air distributor -Arrow-  .

  3. Recommended tool for screw connections on intake manifold (designation Hazett): 
    1. Extension, 147 mm, 1/4 inch
    2. Extension, 101.5 mm, 1/4 inch
    3. Torx socket-wrench insert E10, 1/4 inch
    4. Pivoting extension, 25 mm, 1/4 inch
    5. Torx flexible-head socket-wrench insert E10

  4. Remove intake manifold -1-  .
    1. 4.1. Unscrew six M6 x 25 outer Torx screws (E10).
    2. 4.2. Detach vacuum line from vacuum unit -2-  and remove intake manifold.
    3. 4.3. Replace seals.

  5. Carefully clean the sealing faces.
    1. 5.1. Cover intake ports on the cylinder head.
