Removing Center Intake-Air Distributor

  1. Remove strut -1-  .
    1. 1.1. Unscrew two external Torx screws (M6 x 12) -2-  and remove the strut.
    2. 1.2. Loosen screw-type clamps -3-  and move the rubber sleeves to the side so that the center part is positioned loosely on the engine.

  2. Disconnect vacuum lines at the rear of the center part (swivel the component down slightly to do this).
    1. 2.1. Cut two single-lug clips -1 and 2-  and open the rapid-action coupling -3-  and spring band clamp -4-  .
    2. 2.2. Use new single-lug clips during assembly.

  3. Remove center intake-air distributor from the engine compartment.
