Installing Fuel Collection Pipe With Fuel Injectors

Grease the three mounts for the fuel injectors on the fuel collection pipe with assembly grease VP 881 (Part No. 000.043.207.35).
Position fuel injectors -1- in the fuel collection pipe -2- for fitting the spring clamps. Only press the injector in as far as the upper edge -arrow- .
1. 2.1. Always press the valve vertically (axially) into the mounts.

Fit new spring clamps.
1. 3.1. Slide spring clamp -1- over the mounts and fuel injector from behind. The twist lock must be seated in the eye -arrow- .

2. 3.2. Hook in spring clamp -1- on both sides of the fuel collection pipe mount -arrow- .

Pull off dowel sleeves -2- on the fuel injectors.

Insert the fuel collection pipe with fuel injectors at the cylinder head.
1. 5.1. Fit fuel collection pipe according to tightening specifications.
Fit fuel connection line according to tightening specifications.
