Removing Air Cleaner Housing: Notes

Information
- Use only warm water with washing-up liquid to clean the air cleaner housing.
- Harsh cleaning agents must not be used!

- Internal Torx tapping screws (T25 screw insert)
- Mounting peg
- Rubber mounting for securing in body cross member
- Screw-type clamp on air cleaner housing

- Screw-type clamp for throttle housing
- 3.8-Liter engine only: Solenoid valve for activating tuning flaps
3.8-Liter engine only:
Line for tuning flaps on air cleaner housing.
- Vacuum line routing on housing
- Pull off cable plug for hot-film mass air flow sensor -1-

- 1.1. Loosen screw-type clamp -2- on the throttle housing.
- Unclip cable -1- from guide on air cleaner housing -arrows- .
- Pull rubber sleeve off the throttle housing.
3.8-Liter engine only:
- Lift air filter up slightly and pull off cable plug -2-
and vacuum line -1-
on solenoid valve for tuning flap.

- Note rubber sleeves for fastening the air cleaner housing in place.
- Pull air cleaner housing up out of the guides and lift it out of the engine compartment.
