Removing Air-Cleaner Element

3.8-Liter air filter only: 

  1. Unclip solenoid valve for tuning flap.

    3.8-Liter and 3.6-Liter air filter: 

  2. Unscrew eight Torx tapping screws (T25 screw insert) on the upper part of the air filter.

  3. Lift off upper part.

  4. Unscrew one Torx tapping screw (T20 screw insert) on each air-cleaner element and pull out the element.

    Information 

    • Use only warm water with washing-up liquid to clean the air cleaner housing. 
    • Harsh cleaning agents must not be used! 
  5. Use only warm water with some washing-up liquid to clean the housing. Do not use harsh cleaning agents.
