Preliminary Work

  • Risk of squashing or crushing
  • Risk of damage to the vehicle

→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.

→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.

→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.

→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.

→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.

  1. Raise the vehicle.

    → 4X00IN01 LIFTING THE VEHICLE .

  2. Remove front wheels.

    Use special tool Socket-Wrench Insert P300  to remove the front wheels.

    → 44051900 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL - section on "Removing".

  3. Remove front wheel housing liners.

    → WM 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER - section on "Removing".

  4. Remove front apron.

    → 631519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT APRON - section on "Removing"

  5. Drain coolant.

    → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT  - section on "Draining"

  6. Remove air guides in front of the radiators.

    → 192419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR GUIDE  - section on "Removing".

    Information 

    The air-conditioning condenser remains in the vehicle. The air-conditioning system is not opened.

  7. Loosen air-conditioning condenser from the side radiator.

To do this, unscrew one tapping screw between the air-conditioning condenser and side radiator and pull the air-conditioning condenser out of the side brackets.
