Preliminary Work

  1. Remove air cleaner housing.

    → 242519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR CLEANER HOUSING - TURBO .

  2. Release drive belt.

    → 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT - TURBO .

  3. Remove rear apron.

    → 635519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR APRON .

    CAUTION: Hot components
    • Risk of burns

    → Let hot components cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  4. Remove rear silencer.

    → WM 263319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR SILENCER - TURBO .

    WARNING: Objects or loads falling down
    • Risk of squashing or crushing

    → Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

  5. Remove engine carrier.

    → 103019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE CARRIER .

    WARNING: Hot fluid
    • Danger of scalding

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  6. Drain coolant at the coolant regulator housing. To do this, unscrew the drain plug -1-  .

    → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT - TURBO (INCLUDES BLEEDING THE SYSTEM) .

    1. 6.1. After draining the coolant, fit a new sealing ring on the drain plug.

      → Tightening torque: 25 Nm (19 ft. lb.)
