Preliminary Work

  1. Remove engine.

    → 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE .

  2. Remove transmission.

    → 343527 REMOVING AND MOUNTING TRANSMISSION .

  3. Move engine from Master Gear Unit Elevating Platform WE 1206  to the engine assembly support.
    1. 3.1. Use Engine Support 9667  together with Holder P201  .

  4. Completely remove intake-air distributor.

    → 244619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING INTAKE-AIR DISTRIBUTOR .

    WARNING: Highly inflammable or explosive materials
    • Danger of fire or explosion

    → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

    → Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.

    → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

    WARNING: Caustic fluids
    • Danger of chemical burns

    → Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

    → Ensure that there is good ventilation.

    → If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

  5. When working on the fuel system, place a warning sign in a clearly visible position on the vehicle.

  6. Remove fuel connection lines -2 and 3-  .
    1. 6.1. Loosen union nuts -1-  on the fuel lines at the fuel collection pipes.

    2. 6.2. Loosen rubber clamp -1-  on the fuel connection line -2-  at the bracket.

    3. 6.3. Loosen holder -2-  for fuel line -1-  on side 1-3.

  7. Loosen oil tank.

    → 175219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL TANK .
