Removing Engine From Engine Carrier (Removing Engine)
- Also support engine on the assembly table at the front.
- For all-wheel drive vehicles: Loosen front drive shafts on the transmission side

- Disconnect engine noun: on both sides from underneath

- Disconnect front PDCC expansion hose.
Disconnecting expansion hose
Open the clamp -2- .
Disconnect expansion hose -1- .
- Disconnect servo line at the steering gear

- Loosen design cover over cylinder bank 1 to expose the retaining eyebolts

Only for 3.6 l & 4.8 l engines.
- Lift engine off engine carrier.
Carefully lift the engine initially using a workshop crane.

Make sure that the engine can be lifted up further without squashing or tilting components.
Secure loose components and auxiliary units.
Raise the engine.
- Move elevating platform out from under the engine.
