Converting Reconditioned Engine

Information 

The tightening specifications for the basic engine are stored centrally.

Tightening torques and assembly instructions for other assemblies (e.g. chassis, electrics, transmission or body) or for peripheral engine equipment can be found in the corresponding documents.

1. Convert turbo intake pipes on both sides.

   For cylinder bank 2 with positive crankcase ventilation.

2. Convert turbo pressure line on both sides

   > 214119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE PIPE

3. Convert coolant hose holder on timing-case cover.

   Replace fastening screw.

4. Convert drive belt

   > 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT

5. Convert drive belt deflection roller.
6. Convert air-conditioning compressor

   > WM 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ELECTRIC AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR (PANAMERA S E-HYBRID, PANAMERA S HYBRID)

7. Convert hydraulic pump/tandem pump

   > Refer to 489855 Replacing hydraulic pump

8. Convert design cover

   > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) 

9. Convert secondary-air pump as required

   > 266519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SECONDARY-AIR PUMP WITH BRACKET

10. Convert entire air injection system including switching valves as required

    > Refer to 267519 Removing and installing secondary air valve

11. Convert air box for throttle housing with positive crankcase ventilation line.

    > 243519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR BOX FOR THROTTLE HOUSING (Y-PIPE AHEAD OF THROTTLE VALVE)

12. Convert ground cable.
13. Convert crash panel for high-pressure pump.
14. Convert coolant hoses and coolant pipes.
15. Convert vacuum line for flap exhaust system as required.
16. Convert flywheel

    > 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FLYWHEEL
