Preliminary Work

Information 

The engine must be supported on the body in order to remove the front axle, oil guide housing, oil pump or similar components.

1. Remove design covers on the engine (release eyelets).

   > 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) 

2. only for GTS: 

   Remove acoustic simulator.

   > WM 260219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ACOUSTIC SIMULATOR (PANAMERA GTS)

3. Remove the top covers at the sides of both spring strut domes and expose the installation positions for the rear special tool supports. To do this, unclip the lines and press them aside carefully. Fit the rear special tool supports as a test. Details are as follows (there may be some differences, depending on equipment and unit variants):

   Remove the cable holder on the right spring strut dome by removing the screw -2-  . Remove cable holder.

   Remove screw on washer-fluid reservoir. -1- 

   Detach fuel line and vent line from the holder. -4 and 5- 

   Press lines aside.

   Information 

   The support must be positioned not only on the spring strut dome, but it must also be pushed onto the edge of the plate. Danger of slipping off!

   Slide the support onto the sheetmetal edge of the right spring strut dome that is now free. The support > T40091/50-51 - Support  is made up of three components -1, 2 and 3-

   Remove valve unit holder on the left spring strut dome. To do this, remove the screw -1-  and set the valve unit aside.

   Cooling system valve

   Information 

   The support must be positioned not only on the spring strut dome, but it must also be pushed onto the edge of the plate. Danger of slipping off!

   Slide the support onto the sheetmetal edge of the left spring strut dome that is now free. The support > T40091/50-51 - Support  is made up of three components -1, 2 and 3-

4. Expose the two front longitudinal members on both sides.

   Remove the side boost pressure pipes on turbo engines.

   Remove sheetmetal holder for the left air-conditioning line completely -1-  To do this, remove two screws -2-  and unclip the air-conditioning line -2-  (lever off plastic bracket). Remove sheetmetal holder.
