Installing Roof Pillar

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Apply adhesive. → Application depth: 3.0 mm 

   Working with body structural adhesive → 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE

2. Fit roof pillar and secure in installation position with the straightening bracket.

   Information 

   Once the spare parts have been fixed in place, repair spotwelds A  must be placed exactly on the old spotwelds because there is no current flow possible in areas with a hardened adhesive layer.

3. Resistance spot-weld the roof pillar.

4. Install rear side panel (roof removed). → Installing Rear Side Panel (Roof Removed)
5. Install B-pillar reinforcement. → Installing B-Pillar Reinforcement 
6. Install A-pillar. → Installing A-Pillar
