Removing All-Wheel Final Drive
Information
The fastening screw can only be removed and fitted when the assembly is removed.
Information
- Transmission oil can leak out when removing the all-wheel final drive.
- Remove engine mount. → 103519 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING ENGINE MOUNT
- Detach cross shaft engine carrier from engine, twist it and pull it out by approx. 20 cm.
- Remove Heat shield from all-wheel final drive.
- Fit impact puller 9799 to the groove in the connecting shaft using 4 screws.
- Remove connecting shaft from the all-wheel final drive using impact puller 9799 . This pushes the connecting shaft into the PDK transmission.
- Remove air-conditioning compressor. →REMOVING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
- Remove hydraulic pump.→REMOVING HYDRAULIC PUMP
- Unscrew the left side fastening screws securing the final drive to the engine and pull out the final drive together with the transmission shaft.
- Unscrew the right side fastening screws securing the final drive to the engine and remove the final drive.
