Input signals

NOTE: Deactivate the automatic traffic announcement before performing the diagnosis on the CDR23. If this is not done, the system will crash.
INPUT SIGNALS - CDR23

Menu item Function
  • GAL (noise-dependent loudspeaker boost - NLB)
You can read out the coded NLB value using this menu item.
  • Connect and start the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and switch on the ignition.
  • Select 911 (996) in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select PCM in the Control modules menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select CDR23 in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select Input signals in the 911 (996) CDR23 function selection menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select GAL (noise-dependent loudspeaker boost - NLB)  in the 911 (996) CDR23 function selection menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • The current coded value is displayed in the 911 (996) CDR23 noise-dependent loudspeaker menu.
  • Increment steps
You can check the function of the CDR23 rotary knobs using this menu item.
  • Connect and start the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and switch on the ignition.
  • Select 911 (996) in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select PCM in the Control modules menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select CDR23 in the 911 (996) PCM2 function selection menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select Input signals in the CDR23 function selection menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • Select Increment steps  in the 911 (996) CDR23 Input signals menu and confirm with the "FORWORD" key.
  • The relevant change is displayed by turning the rotary knobs of the CDR23 if this functions correctly.

  • The currently coded country code is displayed in the CDR23 Tuner parameters menu.
  • Status of the optical performance check
You can check the status of the optical waveguides using this menu item.
  • Connect and start the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and switch on the ignition.
