8005 CDR23: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

DIAGNOSIS/TROUBLESHOOTING (8005 CDR23)

1	Read out CDR23 fault memory	Connect and start the Porsche System Tester II 9588 and switch on the ignition. Select vehicle type 911 (996) and the CDR23 control module and press the "FORWORD" key. Read out and erase CDR23 fault memory. Switch off ignition, remove ignition key, switch on ignition again and read out fault memory.	The fault is remedied -> End	Step 2
2	Check CAN comfort (high) for open circuit	Switch ignition off. Pull off plug E on CDR23. Pull off plug A on the instrument cluster control module. Pull off plug B on the air-conditioning system control module. Measure specific resistance between pin 1 of plug E on the CDR23 control module and pin 14 of plug A on the instrument cluster control module.	< 0.5 Step 3	Repair open circuit in wiring harness -> End
3	Check CAN comfort (low) for open circuit	Measure specific resistance between pin 2 of plug E on the CDR23 control module and pin 15 of plug A on the instrument cluster control module.	< 0.5 Step 4	Repair open circuit in wiring harness -> End
4	Replace CDR23		-> End
