Preliminary Work

1. Remove the engine.

   → 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE .

2. Remove the transmission.

   → 343527 REMOVING AND MOUNTING TRANSMISSION .

3. Engine support 9667  and holder P201  must be secured to the engine/transmission flange using screw sleeves.

4. Lift the engine off the Master Gear unit lifting platform WE 1206  using an engine lift and secure it to the assembly support. Get another person to help you do this.

   Additional steps required for complete disassembly before fitting the engine support: 

5. Remove the clutch.

   → 305019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CLUTCH .

6. Remove the flywheel.

   → 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FLYWHEEL .

   → 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SINGLE-MASS FLYWHEEL .

If complete disassembly is not required, the flywheel and clutch can remain fitted.
