Installing Inner Side Section (Upper Part)

  1. Fitting top inner side section to the body
    1. 1.1. Fit the top inner side section to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  2. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 2.1. Resistance spot-weld the top inner side section in areas -A-  and -C-  .
    2. 2.2. Plug-weld the top inner side section in areas -B-  and -D-  using inert gas.

  3. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 3.1. Resistance spot-weld the top inner side section in area -A-  .

  4. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 4.1. Resistance spot-weld the top inner side section in area -A-  .

  5. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 5.1. Apply a full weld to the top inner side section in area -A-  using inert gas.

  6. Fitting reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment to the body
    1. 6.1. Fit reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  7. Welding in reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment
    1. 7.1. Resistance spot-weld reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment in areas -A, B, C, D-  .

  8. Fitting front inner side section to the body
    1. 8.1. Fit the front inner side section to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  9. Welding in front inner side section
    1. 9.1. Resistance spot-weld the front inner side section in areas -A, B, C, D-  .

  10. Install roof pillar (pipe). → 510555 REPLACING ROOF PILLAR (PIPE) - section on "Installing"
  11. Install rear center panel reinforcement. → 512155 REPLACING REAR CENTRE PANEL REINFORCEMENT - section on "Installing"


  1. Fitting top inner side section to the body
    1. 1.1. Fit the top inner side section to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  2. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 2.1. Resistance spot-weld the top inner side section in areas -A-  and -C-  .
    2. 2.2. Plug-weld the top inner side section in areas -B-  and -D-  using inert gas.

  3. Welding in top inner side section
    1. 3.1. Resistance spot-weld the top inner side section in area -A-  .

    1. 6.1. Fit reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  7. Welding in reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment
    1. 7.1. Resistance spot-weld reinforcement for seat belt height adjustment in areas -A, B, C, D-  .

  8. Fitting front inner side section to the body
    1. 8.1. Fit the front inner side section to the body and fix in place with tensioning clamps.
  9. Welding in front inner side section
    1. 9.1. Resistance spot-weld the front inner side section in areas -A, B, C, D-  .
